Knox Foodies LLC launched its first Food Truck Festival in 2020 in the middle of the COVID lockdown with one goal in mind; giving local residents a safe, uplifting way to get out of their homes and enjoy mobile food vendors during an isolating time. With just five trucks, we created a drive-through festival where guests ordered online and volunteers in masks and gloves delivered meals directly to their cars. More than 500 vehicles rolled through that first year.
Over the past six years, that small drive-through event has grown into a beloved Knox County tradition, now featuring more than a dozen food trucks and drawing thousands of attendees to the Public Square in the heart of downtown Mount Vernon. In 2025, Knox Foodies partnered with Zane Cook of Boxcar Creative Co. to introduce a ride-in motorcycle show alongside the festival. What started as a new addition quickly exceeded expectations, with more than 200 motorcyclists riding into downtown and proving there was a real demand for a larger motorcycle-focused event.
This year marks an exciting evolution as Boxcar Creative Co., a new Knox County family-owned and operated business soon opening a brick-and-mortar location in Mount Vernon, officially partners with Knox Foodies to build on that success. Together, the event has grown into the Junction Moto Show & Food Truck Festival. A bigger, bolder experience that expands the motorcycle show while preserving the original mission of offering diverse culinary options as part of a FREE, family-friendly community celebration.
The food truck festival will continue on the first Sunday in October, now serving as the grand finale of a full weekend of activities beginning Friday as part of Biketoberfest, hosted by the Knox County Convention & Visitors Bureau. Join us for a weekend of riding, community, and entertainment, culminating in a Sunday filled with vintage, custom, and unique motorcycles, live music, and delicious food from more than a dozen of Ohio's best food trucks; a celebration of community, creativity, and the spirit of Knox County.
